We’re famous for our Giusti’s “cooked in a barrel” special event lunches and dinners. Great tasting chicken, beef, pork, lamb and wild game (ducks, pheasants, etc.) is prepared in this special manner.
What adds so much to these special event dinners is being able to watch how they are cooked - literally suspended inside the barrel while Bartlett pear wood burns outside the bottom opening of each barrel. A current of heated air along with the fragrance of smoke from the pear wood surround the meat for hours while it slowly cooks.
Standing around outside of Giusti’s watching this part of the event makes for great conversation, cocktails and wine tasting.
